When you are your most raw arranging the funeral for your Mother/mother in law, that’s when the experience, professionalism and compassion of a professional Funeral director is most important. Speaking from personal experience I cannot recommend or praise the service provided by B Hattersley and Sons highly enough. We tentatively phoned and spoke to Lara Cabourn, who visited us to start making arrangements, even finding a way to allow the family who live in Mauritius to participate in a lockdown funeral. No challenge to tricky and the end result was a true celebration of the life of our Mother/mother in law. Thank you

I used this company as their employee Lara had done a wonderful job of organising a funeral for me a couple of years ago. Again, I was not disappointed. Everything was perfect … the lovely cars, the service, the chapel, the music, the order of service, the celebrant. All planned to perfection. It was highly professional. And you are treated with kindness and respect. Response to any queries is very quick too. All the family were grateful and it was the best I think a day like that could be.

Lara was utterly professional throughout. She made the whole process very clear and showed compassion regarding my loss and kindness at every stage. Losing my loved one has completely broken my heart but Hattersley are to be highly recommended in my opinion. All my questions were answered and nothing seemed too much trouble. Family members have also spoken of the high degree of professionalism displayed by this company.

We recently had need of an Undertaker in Chesterfield following Dad’s death. We were impressed with the service we received at all stages of the process. They listened to what we wanted, no attempts to upsell us things we did not need or want. On the day they arrived on schedule. All the staff were very good but Simon, their senior representative was exceptional. Calm, attentive and respectful without being intrusive. Just what you need at such a difficult time. Especially during the current pandemic I am happy to give a 5 star score to this small independent company . Long may they prosper.

Very recently we have used the services of B Hattersley & Sons to arrange the Cremation of my Mother.
From the outset the service we received was faultless and Adam guided us through the process at this very difficult time with true professional ease. Nothing was too much trouble. We would recommend them with any hesitation.
